Writing tools
Help writers spot overused words.

Let visitors paste text and see which words they use most, with counts and shares that update as they type, entirely in the browser.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget. Type or paste text into any of them; the counts update as you type.
Content sets how many words are listed, the shortest word counted, whether numbers count, the common words to leave out and whether visitors can switch that, the input limit, and every label and message. The Style tab covers the text area, the results (summary, table, share bars), labels and the Clear button.
Writers, students and shop owners often want to know which words they overuse or whether a keyword appears often enough, but online counters send their text to someone else's server. Word frequency counter runs on your own page: visitors paste text and see the total, the number of different words and a table of the most-used words with counts and share bars, updated as they type. Common words can be left out, and nothing is sent anywhere.
