Blog bylines
Show “By Maya Lund” under each post title.

Show who wrote the current post, never an email or login name, with an optional avatar and a link to the author's posts or website.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget on a sample post.
Content sets the link (none, the author's posts or website), the name used when the display name is private, the avatar and its size, text before and after, the empty text, the HTML tag and an icon. The Style tab covers the text, link hover colour, surface, avatar and icon.
A byline tells readers who wrote a post, but some WordPress display names are set to an email address or the login name, which should never appear on a public page. Public author name shows the author's display name only for authors with a public post, replaces an email or login name with "Contributor", and can add an avatar and a link to the author's posts or website.
