Content sets whether paragraphs and links are kept, a word limit for short teasers, text before and after, a fallback when there is no bio, the HTML tag for plain text and an optional icon. The Style tab covers typography, colour, alignment, background, border, radius and padding, plus icon position, size, gap and colour.

Where to use public author biography
Multi-author blogs want an author bio on every post, but a typed bio is the same on every post and goes stale. Public author biography shows the Biographical Info of whoever wrote the post being viewed, or of the author whose archive is open, and never shows authors who have no public posts.

Start with Complementor installed and your license connected. Enable this module in the WordPress library, then configure it in Elementor.

Troubleshoot public author biography
Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.
Why is nothing shown?
The author's Biographical Info is empty, or the author has no public published posts. Fill in the profile or set Text when source is empty.
Why are the paragraphs merged?
Keep paragraphs and links is off, or a word limit is set. A shortened bio is always plain text.
Why does a new author's bio not appear?
Authors are shown only once they have a public published post.
Does it show the avatar?
No. It shows the bio text; pair it with an image or avatar widget.

Does it need Elementor Pro?
No. It works with the free version of Elementor.
Does it reveal author emails?
No. Only the Biographical Info is read; email, role and login are never used.
Is the bio HTML safe?
Yes. Only the formatting WordPress allows in posts, such as paragraphs and links, is kept.
Does it work for custom post types?
It shows the author of the current public post and requires the author to have public blog posts.
Is it accessible?
Yes. It is ordinary text with real links, and the optional icon is hidden from screen readers.
