Support pages
Ask customers to quote the article number.

Show the current post's permanent reference number so readers and customers can quote it, optionally linked to the short link.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget on this page.
Content sets the format, the minimum digits, the short link, text before and after, a fallback text, the HTML tag and an optional icon. The Style tab covers typography, colour, link states, alignment, radius, padding and the icon.
Support teams, publishers and shops often ask readers to quote which article, job or product they mean, but titles change and addresses are long. Post reference number shows the post's WordPress ID, which never changes, in the format you choose, and can link it to the short link that keeps working when the address changes. It never shows numbers of drafts, private or password-protected posts.
