Documentation and guides
Help readers move back up from a detailed page to its section.

Show the parent pages of the current page as a linked trail, such as Home / Garden guides / Planting spring bulbs / Tulips.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget on a sample page three levels deep: the default trail, a styled trail with a home icon, parents only, and your own labels.
Content › Source turns the Home link on or off and sets its label. Behaviour shows the current page as text with optional replacement text. Display sets the navigation label, separator text or icon, and a Home icon. The Style tab covers alignment, typography, spacing, icon size, current page and separator colours, link Normal, Hover and Focus states, and link padding.
Deeply nested pages leave readers unsure how they got there or how to go back up a level. Page ancestor path shows the chain of parent pages above the current page as links, read from your page hierarchy, and quietly leaves out parents that are private, draft or password-protected.

Hand-typed parent links go stale when pages move. This widget reads the hierarchy each time.
Complementor uses classic Elementor APIs. Atomic-native controls are not implemented. Check your theme, cache and integrations on a staging site before release.
Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.
It is private, a draft or password-protected, so it is left out for everyone.
The page has no parents and Home and the current page are turned off, or the page itself is not public.
Posts are not hierarchical. The widget works on pages and other hierarchical post types.
