These are the actual published outputs of the widget. Type a base and an exponent into any of them; the result updates as you type.

02 / Inside WordPress

Exponent calculator controls in Elementor

Content sets whether visitors type the exponent or you fix it, the significant digits for rounded results, whether long results list every digit, digit grouping, and every label, including the hint and the starting values. The Style tab covers the fields, the result box, the every digit box, labels and messages, and the Copy and Clear buttons.

03 / Website use cases

Where to use exponent calculator

Powers turn up in maths lessons, growth and interest examples, science pages and puzzles, and ordinary calculators round long results or switch to e-notation. Exponent calculator sits on your own page: visitors type a base and an exponent and see the exact result for whole-number exponents, the fraction and decimal for negative ones, and a clearly rounded value for decimal exponents, all updated as they type. Nothing is sent anywhere.

08 / Common setup problems

Troubleshoot exponent calculator

Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.

Why does −8 to the power 0.5 show a message?

A negative base with a decimal exponent has no real result. Use a whole-number exponent.

Why is the decimal result marked as rounded?

Decimal exponents use floating-point maths, so the result is rounded to the significant digits you set.

Why does a huge power show only an estimate?

Exact results are listed up to 10,000 digits. Beyond that a rounded estimate is shown with a note.

Why does 1e3 show a message?

Scientific notation is not accepted. Type 1000 instead.

09 / Frequently asked questions

Exponent calculator plugin questions

Does it need Elementor Pro?

No. It works with the free version of Elementor.

Are the results exact?

Yes for whole-number exponents, even with decimal bases. Decimal exponents are rounded, and the widget says so.

What does 0 to the power 0 give?

1, the usual convention, with a short note.

Can I make a squaring calculator?

Yes. Set the exponent to Fixed by you and enter 2; visitors then see only the base field.

Does it need JavaScript?

Yes. Without it a short message is shown instead.
