Blog category templates
Show the topics inside a category above its posts.

List the sub-categories of the category being viewed as a list, chips or cards, with counts, descriptions and images, or its sibling categories when it has none.
These are the actual published widgets rendered inside the demo blog’s Gardening category archive.
Sub-categories sets the heading with {term} and its tag, a list, chips or cards, counts, descriptions and images, the order, leaving out empty ones, what to show when there are none and that heading, layout and spacing, text before and after each name, empty text, the name tag and an icon. The Style tab covers each link’s text, colours, background, border and hover and focus states, the icon, and the heading, count, description and card colours with card width. In the editor a sample category is previewed.
A category archive with sub-categories usually shows only posts, so visitors cannot see the topics inside it. This widget, placed on an archive template, lists the sub-categories of the category, tag or product category being viewed as a list, chips or cards with how many items each holds, descriptions and product category images. On a category with no sub-categories it can show the other categories at the same level instead.
