Current post attachments controls in Elementor

Content sets which files are listed, whether the featured image is left out, the order, a maximum, file type and size, the download attribute, text above the list, a fallback and an icon. The Style tab covers typography, colour, surface, link colours, type and size colour, row lines, spacing and the icon.

03 / Website use cases

Where to use current post attachments

Posts often come with files: a recipe card, a worksheet, a price list or a manual. Linking each one by hand means editing the post again whenever a file changes. Current post attachments lists the files attached to the post in the Media Library, with their type and size so visitors know what they are downloading, leaves out the featured image, and can show documents only.

08 / Common setup problems

Troubleshoot current post attachments

Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.

Why is my file not listed?

It is not attached to this post. Attach it in the Media Library, or upload it while editing the post.

Why is the featured image missing?

It is left out by default. Turn off Leave out the featured image.

Why does a PDF open instead of downloading?

Turn on Download instead of opening. Files served from another domain may still open.

Why is there no size?

WordPress has no stored size for that file and the file could not be read.
