Blog post meta
Show the count next to the date and author.

Show how many approved comments the current post has, with correct singular and plural wording, linked to the comments.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget on a sample post with three approved comments: the default linked count, a meta pill, and custom “replies” wording.
Content sets whether zero is shown, the wording for no comments, one comment and more (with % for the number), whether it links to the comments, text before and after, a fallback, the HTML tag and an optional icon. The Style tab covers typography, colour, link hover colour, alignment, background, border, radius and padding, plus icon position, size, gap and colour.
Post templates often show a bare number or “1 comments” for the comment count, and the count rarely links anywhere. Comment count shows approved comments only, with separate wording for none, one and more, links to the comment list or reply form, and stays hidden on posts closed to comments that have none.
