Accessible captions
Show image descriptions to every reader.

Show the alternative text saved for a Media Library image as visible text, for example as an accessible caption, with an editor-only warning when an image has none.
These are the actual published outputs of the widget for files from the Media Library.
Content sets the file source, the image, text before and after, the empty text, the HTML tag and an icon. The Style tab covers typography, colours, surface, border, alignment, padding, radius and the icon.
Alt text describes images to screen reader users, but it is invisible to everyone else, so missing or poor alt text goes unnoticed. Attachment alt text shows it on the page, as an accessible caption or a review aid, and warns in the editor when an image has none.
