ACF expiring link controls in Elementor
Link picks the URL field and the Date Picker with the last day, and sets the link text, a button or text link, a new tab, the until line, the closing-soon warning, the text after the last day and the ended line, text before and after, text when no link is saved, the HTML tag and an icon. The Style tab covers the link in normal, hover and focus states, the dates and expired text, and the icon.

Where to use acf expiring link
Booking forms, offers and downloads often run until a date, and an old link left on the page after that date sends visitors to something that no longer applies. ACF expiring link reads the URL and last day saved in ACF on the current post, shows the link with until when it is available, warns when only a few days are left, and after the last day shows your closed message instead, switching at midnight in the site’s time zone even on cached pages.

How to show an ACF link until a date in Elementor
Start with Complementor installed and your license connected. Enable this module in the WordPress library, then configure it in Elementor.
Install ACF and Complementor, connect your license and enable ACF expiring link in the Complementor library.
Add a URL field and a Date Picker field for the last day to your posts and fill them in.
Add the widget to the post or its template and choose the two fields.
Set the link text, the until line and the closed message.
Style the button and the date lines.

- Reads the values saved on the published post being viewed; only http and https links are shown.

Troubleshoot acf expiring link
Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.
Why does the link still show on the last day?
The link works through the whole last day and switches at midnight at the end of it, in the site’s time zone.
Why does nothing show after the last day?
No text after the last day is set. Add one, such as Bookings have closed.
Why is the link missing?
The saved address is not a web address starting with http or https, or the last day is not a valid date. Add text for that case to show a message instead.

Does it need Elementor Pro or ACF Pro?
No. It works with the free versions of Elementor and ACF.
Does it stop people using the link?
No. It changes what the page shows; anyone who saved the address can still open it. Close the offer or form itself too.
Does it work on cached pages?
Yes. The visitor’s browser switches to the closed message at the end of the last day.
Which time zone is used?
The site’s time zone from Settings › General.
Can I warn that the end is near?
Yes. Choose how many days before the end to show Ends in 3 days, Ends tomorrow or Last day today.
