03 / Website use cases

Where to use variation sale end date

Shoppers are more likely to buy when they know a sale will end, and WooCommerce already stores the end date of each scheduled sale, but it does not show it. Variation sale end date shows that date for the size the shopper picks, and the earliest end date before they choose.

  • Reads the sale end dates set in WooCommerce; nothing is scheduled by the widget.

08 / Common setup problems

Troubleshoot variation sale end date

Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.

Why does nothing show for one size?

That size is not on sale now, or its sale has no end date. Set the schedule under Product data › Variations.

Why is the date a day out?

Dates are shown in the site's time zone. Check Settings › General › Timezone.

Why does it say Offers end from?

Before a choice, sizes on sale end on different dates, so the earliest is shown. Change the words in Prefix before a choice.

Why does it not change when I pick a size?

The product's options form must be on the same page, for example its own product page or a product shortcode.
