Content › Source uses the current product or a selected published product. Messages by product type holds one message each for simple, variable, grouped and external products, with bold, italic, links and line breaks allowed. Display adds an optional icon before or after the text. The Style tab sets typography, text colour, alignment, background, border, radius and padding, link colours and focus outline, and icon colour, size and gap.

Where to use product type note
Variable, grouped and external products are bought in different ways, but one product template shows the same content for all of them. Product type note reads each product's WooCommerce type and shows the message you wrote for that type, such as 'choose your options' for variable products or 'sold by another retailer' for external ones.

Tell shoppers that external products are completed on the retailer's site.

How to show product-type notes in Elementor
Start with Complementor installed and your license connected. Enable this module in the WordPress library, then configure it in Elementor.
Install Complementor and WooCommerce, connect your license and enable Product type note in the Complementor library.
Add the widget to your single product template, or to a product page.
Edit the messages for variable, grouped and external products, and add one for simple products if you want.
Clear any message to show nothing for that type.
Style the note, publish, and preview products of each type.

Elementor Pro can assign different single product templates by condition, which duplicates the whole layout. This widget changes only the note inside one template.
A plain Text Editor widget
Typed text is the same on every product. This widget picks the message from each product's WooCommerce type.

Complementor uses classic Elementor APIs. Atomic-native controls are not implemented. Check your theme, cache and integrations on a staging site before release.

Troubleshoot product type note
Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.
Why is nothing shown on my simple products?
The simple-product message is empty by default. Write one in Messages by product type if you want a note there.
Why is nothing shown on a subscription or bundle product?
Only the four WooCommerce core types are supported. Product types added by other plugins show nothing.
Why was my HTML removed?
Only bold, italic, links and line breaks are allowed, so the note stays safe and consistent.
Why does the editor show a dashed hint?
No message is set for this product's type, or the product is not published. The hint appears only in the editor.
Product type note plugin questions
Does it need Elementor Pro?
No. It works on product pages built with Elementor; Elementor Pro lets you place it in single product templates.
Can I include a link?
Yes. Links are allowed in each message and are underlined, with a visible focus outline.
Does it change how products are bought?
No. It only shows text. WooCommerce still handles options, quantities and external links.
Can I use it for one product only?
Yes. Choose Selected product in Content › Source and pick the product.
Are the default messages translatable?
Yes. They use the complementor text domain, and you can rewrite them in the editor.
