02 / Inside WordPress

Product sale status controls in Elementor

Content sets the product (the current one or a selected product), the texts for on sale, options with different savings, no percentage, the end date, a scheduled sale and no sale, the date format and an optional icon. The Style tab covers typography, colour, alignment, background, border, radius and padding, separate colours for on-sale and scheduled states, the end date colour and the icon.

03 / Website use cases

Where to use product sale status badge

WooCommerce's sale flash only says “Sale!”, so shoppers have to work out the saving themselves and never learn when the offer ends. Product sale status shows the percentage saved from the real regular and sale prices, “Save up to” for products with options, the end date when the sale has one, and “Sale starts” for a sale scheduled in the future. Products without a sale show nothing.

08 / Common setup problems

Troubleshoot product sale status badge

Check these settings if the published page behaves differently from the editor.

Why “On sale” without a percentage?

The saving is under 1% or the regular price is missing.

Why no end date?

The sale has no end date, or the options end on different days.

Why is a scheduled sale not shown?

The product needs a sale price and a start date in the future, and the Sale scheduled text must not be empty.

Why is the percentage lower than I expected?

It is rounded down so it never overstates the saving.

09 / Frequently asked questions

Product sale status badge plugin questions

Does it need Elementor Pro?

No. It works with the free version of Elementor and WooCommerce.

Where does it get its information?

From the product's regular price, sale price and sale dates in WooCommerce.

Does it work in a product template?

Yes. Leave Product on Current public product and it follows the product being viewed.

Why does nothing show in some cases?

It stays silent when the information would be missing or untrue. In the editor a short note explains why.

Does it include tax?

The amount saved follows how the shop displays prices; the percentage is the same either way.
