Choosing paper for watercolour
Watercolour paper is sold by weight. The common 300 gsm sheet takes heavy washes without buckling, while lighter 190 gsm paper needs to be stretched first. Hot-pressed paper is smooth and suits fine detail; cold-pressed paper has a gentle tooth.
